God is so faithful when I am so doubtful.
This week has been ridiculously long. I was drained physically and emotionally and I cringe at the few hours of sleep I got these past couple of days. Call me spoiled but I value my rest. The end of classes (which passed by smoothly, as did the semester) only meant the beginning of church-related celebrations and the tasks that accompanied them. Throw in projects, work, and unnecessary worries and the concoction stirred up an eventful(tiresome) week. I think if this same week took place a year ago, I would've gone crazy. I'm constantly in disbelief at how my rote stressfulness has made way for a peaceful heart that's (slowly) learning to trust fully in God – something He's been teaching me this entire school year. I can't believe how much I used to stress over anything and everything. But thank God he knows just how much we can bear, and how he increases our load as he molds us over time.
Though the week was physically tiring, I was more so mentally preoccupied with worries and doubts. As our Taiwan missions trip is drawing near, I became more and more concerned about costs and outside support. But how amazing is it that God (and only God) can sustain us during our weakest moments. When we feel like giving up, his reassuring words comfort us with hope. I was once again reminded of Philippians 4:6. And wow. I think God pushed me to pray daily for this request solely so that I can witness his perfect provision. Because He answered with really encouraging news!
There's still a long way to go but I've realized that God is the one pushing our team forward financially. He'll ultimately provide but that shouldn't stop me from lifting up the request to Him. Answered prayers shouldn't be an ends to prayer but motivation to keep praying.
