Courage

Courage is a tricky concept. Scary. Mostly tricky. It comes in small doses over long periods of time. It rushes in rapid movements and disappears in a moment. It augments over time by trials, tears, fears. By love, it multiplies. By consonance, it's comforted.

It's to instill yes when the head prefers no. To exhort no when the heart's lounging for yes. To jump, to fall, and to get up and willingly do it again.

Courage is being purposeful with life when everyone around you is living in the moment. Living in the moment, as it may never come again. It's often forgotten; often ignored; often avoided. Always awarded.

It's present in the joys of life. In the smallest hints of feats. It's a contradiction, really.

It's biblical, all the while worldly. It's personal. A tricky concept to grasp.
